Security Guard Training


Our Security Guard Training Program consist of a full course curriculum designed to prepare guards for emergency situations as well as public communication and report writing.  Our security guard curriculum is designed for unarmed guard services.


CHURCH SECURITY TRAINING
This course is designed to train your in house security personnel to protect the House of Worship.  We offer a comprehensive program, for any size church.  This course will address emergency medical response in the sanctuary, alarm response, pastoral protection, and many other aspects of church security.


WORKPLACE VIOLENCE PREVENTION
One of the most critical components of any an agency's prevention program is training. Our workplace Prevention program is designed to provide adequate resources for employee training and awareness.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Learn how to manage and resolve conflict in your personal and work relationships through the use of key conflict resolution skills.

BUSINESS SAFETY STRATEGIES
Being able to protect your business is just as important as being able to protect your home.  The Business Safety Strategies seminar is designed to teach you how to protect your business from crime and theft, while also creating an overall safer work environment.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND AWARENESS
Our Domestic Violence and Awareness program will teach you how to help break the cycle of violence.  Our program is focused on awareness and Prevention Strategies that are designed to keep future domestic violence incidents from occurring.



8 hour Pre-Assignment Training Course for security guard


This course is required by the New York State as the first security training necessary to obtain employment and for obtaining a security guard registration card from the NYS. DOLS.

A security firm may decide to hire a job applicant without the security guard registration card; however the employer in this case must file the application for a security guard license within 24 hours of employment. Most security firms prefer to hire a security guard in position of a security guard registration card.

 

The 8-hour course provides students with general overview of their duties and responsibilities. The topics covered in this course include:

  • The role of the security guard.
  • Legal powers and limitations.
  • Emergency situations.
  • Communication and public relations
  • Access control.                                                                                                                                    
  • Ethics and conduct.           

 

16 Hour On-The-Job Training for security guards


This 16 hours course must be completed within90 days of employment. The security guard must attend (2) two 8 hours training on days and or dates set by the school.

The course provides the student with detailed information on the duties and responsibilities of a security guard. It also provides the students with more in-depth orientation of a security guard’s responsibilities.

  • Communication and public relations.
  • Access control.
  • Ethics and conduct.
  • Incident command system.
  • Terrorism.

 

8 Hour In-Service Training Course for security guard

This 8 hours course must be completed within 12 calendar months from completion of the 16 hours On-The-Job training course for security guards, and annually thereafter. The course is structured to provide the students with updated and enhanced information on the duties and responsibilities of the security guard.
